National Institute Virology (NIV) is an apex laboratory under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. ICMR-National Institute of Virology intends to engage following Non-Institutional Project human resource positions, purely on temporary contract basis for its short-term research project, being undertaken at ICMR-National Institute of Virology, Pune.

Qualification / Experience
- Project Research Scientist-V :- Master Degree in Life Science Specialization required – Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Virology/ M.Sc in above subject + Ph.D & 4 years experience.
- Project Research Scientist-I :- MBBS Degree with 1 years Research / Teaching experience & MD in Microbiology/ Pathology/ PSM.
- Project Research Scientist-IV :- Master Degree in Life Science : Specialization required – Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Virology/ M.Sc in above subject + Ph.D & 2 years experience.
- Project Senior Research Fellow :- Master Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Zoology/ M.E./ M.Tech Degree.
- Project Junior Research Fellow :- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Post Graduate Degree in Professional course.
- Project Research Associate :- Ph.D/ M.S (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology) or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and desing and development experience after M.Sc/ M.Tech (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology).
- Project Economist Evaluation Specialist :- Master in Health Economics/ Public Health/ Community Medicine with specialization in Healthcare Costing, Economic Evaluation/ Ph.D in Health Economic/ Public Health. & 3 years experience.
- Project Technical Support- II :- Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery (GNM) or equivalent / Registered nurse or ANM with any State Nursing Council.
- Project Technical Support- III :- Graduate in Life Science Specialization required – Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Virology/ Anthropology/ Master Degree in above subject Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Mathematics/ Social work. & 5 years experience.
- Project Technical Support- II :- Graduate in Life Science Specialization required in Microbiology/ Biotechanology/ Biochemistry/ Virology/ Master Degree & 3 years experience.
- Project Technical Support- I :- 12th Pass in Science Subject/ Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician OR 1 years DMLT + One years experience OR two years field/ laboratory experience/ B.Sc. Degree & 3 years experience.
Selection Process
NO TA/ DA will be paid to attend interview/ personal discussion and candidates have to arrange transport/ accommodation themselves.
Project human resource cannot be permitted to register for Ph.D., due to time constraints.
